From Grain Storage Facilities to Livestock Complexes: APROFIL Plant to Showcase Agricultural Construction Solutions at AgroWorld 2026

APROFIL Plant, an exhibitor at AgroWorld 2026, has been manufacturing steel structures and construction materials for projects throughout Kazakhstan for 26 years. More than 30 production lines and the company’s own design office operate in Almaty. Engineering calculations, manufacturing and order completion are all carried out at a single facility, allowing customers to receive materials directly from the manufacturer.

LMS and LGS Frames

The plant manufactures two types of structures:

1. Light Metal Structure (LMS) frames – systems of steel columns, beams and cross-members designed for large spans.
2. Light Gauge Steel (LGS) structures made of thin-walled galvanized profiles for lightweight and auxiliary buildings.

The main technical specifications of LMS include steel thickness of up to 4 mm, yield strength of 350–420 MPa, profile height of 190–400 mm and a zinc coating of 275 g/m². These specifications allow spans of up to 24 m without intermediate supports. For LGS structures, the steel thickness is up to 2 mm, yield strength is 350 MPa, profile height is 90–200 mm, with the same zinc coating of 275 g/m² and unsupported spans of up to 15 m.

Each type of frame is engineered to suit the conditions of the specific construction area, taking into account seismic activity as well as snow and wind loads in Kazakhstan. The low weight of the structure reduces the load on the foundation and helps keep project costs under control. Each component is delivered to the construction site clearly marked, enabling fast assembly at any time of year. The plant provides project support throughout all stages of assembly.

Applications in Agriculture

Clear spans and factory-prepared structural kits meet the requirements of the main types of agricultural buildings.

• Grain storage facilities and warehouses. With no internal columns, grain can be stored across the full width of the building, while loaders can operate freely without having to manoeuvre around supports. Span width is selected according to the required storage capacity.
• Hangars and storage facilities for agricultural machinery, as well as machinery and tractor workshops. Clear height and gate dimensions are calculated to accommodate combines, sprayers or grain trucks. The unobstructed interior space allows overhead cranes and repair stations to be installed without redesigning the layout.
• Livestock and poultry buildings. Cattle barns, calf barns, sheep barns and poultry houses. Frames are designed to accommodate insulated building envelopes, rooflight ridges and ventilation equipment, while the 275 g/m² zinc coating is suitable for the humid environment of livestock facilities.
• Vegetable and potato storage facilities. Loads from refrigeration and ventilation equipment are incorporated into the design calculations in advance, including equipment suspended from load-bearing elements.
• Processing, sorting and packaging facilities. Buildings can be designed around production lines, allowing technological flows to be arranged without internal supports.
• Covered threshing floors, canopies, receiving and dispatch areas. Open structures with wide frame spacing provide convenient access for vehicles.
• Administrative, utility and auxiliary buildings. Administrative and welfare facilities, weighing and security checkpoints, laboratories, garages and accommodation facilities for seasonal workers.

Another important advantage for agricultural businesses is construction time. Frames are manufactured at the plant in parallel with foundation work, while installation is not dependent on the season. This allows a facility to be commissioned in time for the start of the harvest season or before livestock are moved indoors.

Rolled Metal Products

The stand will also feature materials for building envelopes and site development: profiled steel sheets from C4 to H75 and standing-seam profiles; C-, U-, Z- and omega-shaped construction profiles; metal roofing tiles and standing-seam roofing with drainage systems; façade cladding; perimeter fencing; and cubic slatted ceilings. A dedicated agricultural product in the range is a steel vineyard trellis.
