NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR AGRICULTURE IN KAZAKHSTAN AT AGROWORLD QAZAQSTAN 2021 EXHIBITION

NOVEMBER 3 - 5, 2021 - AGROWORLD QAZAQSTAN CENTRAL ASIAN INTERNATIONAL AGRICULTURAL EXHIBITION CELEBRATES ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY. THE EXHIBITION WILL TRADITIONALLY TAKE PLACE AT “ATAKENT” EXHIBITION CENTER, ALMATY CITY.

In the new realities, agriculture continues to be one of the important areas of economic development in Kazakhstan. According to National Statistics Bureau of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the industry maintained a positive growth rate of 101.8% over the January-September 2021 period compared to the same period in 2020. The state provides a great support to the industry today. Thus, on October 21, 2021 the Minister of Agriculture Yerbol Karashukeyev presented the National AIC (Agro Industrial Complex) Development Project for 2021-2025. In general, within 5 years, it is planned to implement 582 investment projects amounting 4.1 trillion tenge. These projects will be an integral part of 7 ecosystems for production and processing of meat, fruits, vegetables, sugar, grains, oilseeds and dairy products. This will enable the involvement of at least 350,000 farms and households, which will be able to participate in creation of final Kazakhstani products with high added value. Obviously, the agricultural industry has faced many new challenges and current issues. The AgroWorld Qazaqstan will become a place for consolidation of common solutions and determination of the vector of further development.

Over 15 years of successful work AgroWorld Qazaqstan exhibition has already proven to be a complex platform for dialogue in Central Asia, uniting the interests of government agencies, industry associations, unions, local farmers and businesses to achieve the main goal: providing the country's population with quality and affordable food and establish interstate cooperation in the field of AIC, as well as systematic development of the AIC.

102 companies from 15 countries will present their proposals for agriculture at AgroWorld Qazaqstan 2021. The largest number of foreign companies will come from Italy, the Netherlands and Russia. The exhibitors at AgroWorld Qazaqstan will present equipment for livestock, poultry and pig breeding, fodder and feed components, equipment for gardening, planting materials, seeds, fertilizers, modern irrigation systems, equipment for fruit and vegetable processing, construction and design of buildings for agriculture, cold solutions for storage and transportation of agricultural crops, modern solutions for greenhouses. Traditionally, the strength of the event is the focus on:

  • Gardening - more than 30 suppliers from Kazakhstan, Russia, the Netherlands, Italy, France.
  • Poultry - unprecedented international interest in the market from suppliers from 12 countries (Austria, Belarus, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Turkey).

As part of the business program of the exhibition, the “Belarus-Kazakhstan Agricultural Forum” will be held simultaneously with the participation of the Ministries of Agriculture of both countries, where experts and practitioners will discuss the accumulated experience in the agro-industrial sector of the two countries. Among the topics of the reports is the full range of issues faced by farmers and specialists of the processing industry: raw material base, breeding, livestock and crop production, technical support, agricultural technology and education. During the Forum there will be a matchmaking center, where participants and visitors to the Forum will be able to establish contacts and meet potential business partners.

Traditionally, the AgriFood Forum Qazaqstan will be held during the exhibition, the main topics of which remain: animal husbandry and feed production, poultry farming, vegetable growing, gardening, cold supply chain and product sales. For the first time, it is planned to discuss the issues of growing berry crops and dairy production in Kazakhstan at the Forum. The narrow specification of the sessions will present a dialogue platform for each category of farms:

  • Ensuring epizootic welfare in industrial poultry farming;
  • New Challenges in Gardening;
  • Irrigation issues in the south of Kazakhstan;
  • Prospects for the growth of greenhouse business in Kazakhstan.

The organizers of the exhibition are guided by the recommendations of the local executive authorities, WHO and the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI), and ensure that during the exhibition, will provide all measures of hygiene, sanitation and disinfection to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Participants and visitors will also be able to visit the exhibition and take part in the business program of FoodExpo Qazaqstan, Horex & Clean Expo Qazaqstan, QazPack and ColdChain Qazaqstan, which will also take place on November 3-5 in Almaty.
