PRODUCTION OF VEGETABLE AND FRUIT JUICES IN KAZAKHSTAN INCREASED BY 6%

Production of fruit and vegetable juices in Kazakhstan in January-May increased by 6.3% compared to the same period last year. Over five months, domestic enterprises produced 36.3 thousand tonnes of drinks, the Bureau of National Statistics said.

The share of Kazakhstani juices in the domestic market is 60%.

At the same time, the import of juices for the reporting period also showed growth - by 13.6%. The country imported 24.2 thousand tonnes of products.

Exports for five months, on the contrary, decreased by 0.4%. 1.3 thousand tonnes were delivered abroad.

Consumption in the domestic market increased by 9.3% and reached 59.3 thousand tonnes, while in January-May 2024 the sales volume was 54.2 thousand tonnes.
