$120M INVESTED IN GREENHOUSE COMPLEX FOR TOMATO PRODUCTION IN KAZAKHSTAN

Agriculture Minister Aidarbek Saparov held talks with Sine Midas Stroy Chairman Ahmet Budan, World of NAN reports.

The parties discussed the prospects of implementing an investment project to build a modern industrial greenhouse in the city of Shymkent.

Ahmet Budan said that Sine Midas Stroy together with Polish Fabe Agro is working on the possibility of launching an agro-industrial project worth $120 million. The planned production capacity of the greenhouse complex will be 36,000 tonnes of tomatoes per year.

"Kazakhstan is interested in attracting high-tech investments in the agricultural sector. For our part, we are ready to provide comprehensive support in the implementation of the project, focused on the formation of export-oriented greenhouse industry in Kazakhstan", - stressed Aidarbek Saparov.

Currently, work is underway to conclude an Investment Agreement, which will define the terms of the project, the volume of investment and the obligations of the parties.

Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their readiness to accelerate the signing of the agreement and begin practical implementation of the project in the near future.
