BREEDING, NEW VARIETIES OF SEEDS AND FIELD CROPS FROM EKONIVA-SEMENA MANUFACTURER

EkoNiva-Semena LLC, the breeding and seed-production enterprise, has been operating in the Russian agricultural market since 1998 and is currently one of the largest producers of field crop seeds.

The seed-production enterprise cooperates with more than 55 leading breeding centers, offering farmers the best world and domestic genetics.

EkoNiva grows a variety of crops in its own fields, which are used not only for feeding its own animals on farms, but also allows them to be sold to the domestic market of the Russian Federation and foreign export markets around the world.

The geography of sales is 71 regions in the Russian Federation and 10 foreign countries.

Modern genetics, highly qualified personnel, modern equipment, high culture of agriculture — these components are the basis of seed-production work in EkoNiva-Semena. The enterprise is constantly expanding and updating the assortment of varieties.

Primary seed production and elite seeds production is concentrated in the Kursk region. Reproduction seeds are grown in the Voronezh and Novosibirsk regions.

The high culture of field production, the implementation of the entire complex of agrotechnical measures accompanying each variety allow to grow seed material that fully reveals the genetic characteristics of the variety. Our own seed control laboratory monitors the quality of seed material, which allows us to offer high-quality seeds, including premium-class seeds, to the market.

 

A well-organized logistics system allows us to deliver seeds with high reliability in the required time even to the most remote regions of Russia and for export.

 The company has its own Center for breeding and primary seed production - this is: its own breeding program; primary seed production of varieties of Russian and foreign selection; >1,000 variety tests per year for 12 crops.  The objectives of the center: - creation of new varieties of cereals, grain legumes and feed crops, - production of original seeds and development of practical recommendations for cultivating varieties in specific soil and climatic conditions.
